Default National Marine Underwriters Insurance, questions >>>

Does anyone have a policy with them? Anyone had to file a claim?

Just trying to find some things out about this company. Good, bad, or ugly?

I had a policy with them for several years. I never made a claim. Great rates on single and twin engine boats. Their tripple engine rates are astronomical.

I think the problem with all insurances in our area ( I line in Houston As well) is that we line in Harris County and that they assume that we will be boating on salt Water. I have a 95 32' Fountain and I paid $2429 for the year. I got quotes from everyone. Sellted with Progressive.

If so, it was (and has been) a nightmare for one of my co-workers,boat sunk and they haven't paid anything in over 2 years.

Address is

National Marine Underwriters, Inc.
410 Severn Ave, Suite 207
Annapolis, MD 21403

So I don't think it's the same.

Fountainhead, when I talked to progressive they wouldn't quote anything with thru-transom exhaust. How'd you get around that?

Fountainhead - Have you talked to Sy Goldberg? My Fountain's a 1996 29 Fever and he wrote me a stellar policy for way less than that. (And yes, I have Galveston Bay, Intracoastal and limited Gulf navigation limits. Year round.)
