Seatek idles at 600rpm and maxes out at 3100rpm
Using a 0.86-1 overdrive gives you a min prop speed of 697rpm and a max of 3600rpm, with a prop torque of 1400 lbs feet.

An average 800hp big block with a 5000rpm redline and a gear reduction of 1.5-1 gives a min prop speed of 533rpm and a max of 3333rpm and prop torque of 1220lbs feet.
From this I don’t see how the usable power band is any different, in fact the diesel creates more usable torque throughout is rev range as the torque curve is much flatter which is more beneficial for marine use.

The year it was super rough was 1998 or 99, Jim Lee and Bob Morgan won beating Buzzi in the 4 engine v hull.

Looks a nice ride, I gather 1.38 is second gear looking at the size of those wheels, what's first? any idea of weight.
