Hey FRY , THanks ! It's a 2001 power stroke of a friend. It pushed a conecting rod out the bottom of the oil pan ! BOOM
It dosn't even have a computer chip or anything . He was cruising down the highway for a while and on a down hill side ,, BOOM ! Whats up with that ? I was told they tried using some kind of composit rods and they didn't work well . It may just be someone bashing another brand of truck but it is odd . I have never herd or had any trouble with them . We have had dozens of them . Any thing you can find would be apreciated ! Thanks !
bajadaze ,Thanks ,I tried there and nothing .
tmajer, thanks I tried there too . nothing .
Why is it that you have to pay to get this info ? If your vehicle is unsafe that should be manditory that they give it to you !
THansk guys for all your help . JOE

Try Alldata.com
Boot, some of these experiments don't work and there is no official recall. Make contact with a ford dealers mechanics and see wha they say. Often Ford will try and come to some settlement if it looks like a manufacturing problem. Was the engine still in warranty? or just out? I know this sucks but this is what they do.
