Wet Sounds

Thinking about making some upgrades to my stereo anyone on here a Wet Sounds dealer?

Wet sounds own all for tower speakers. For cockpit speakers, go JL. I have quite a bit of experience with both. Have full JL systems in two boats and have a buddy with wet sound towers/ JL cockpit on a Mastercraft and another buddy with all wet sounds (tower and cockpit) in a Mastercraft. The JL sound quality is much better IMO.

amen on the JL, my local installer did a full JL system (amps and speakers) for me and all I can say is incredible. cant get over how clean and clear it is, well worth the money.

I have a boat full of JL stuff, 4 8.8's, 2 7.7's, 2 7.7 tower speakers, 2 m600/6, 2 10" subs and an m1400 subamp. JL makes quality stuff no doubt but they have been resting on their laurels on the marine side for some time now. Wet Sounds is innovative and the systems are loud and clear. My boat cranks and is usually the loudest boat around unless somebody else has a Wet Sounds system.

JL showed 8.8 tower speakers at IBEX this year, but guess what its almost summer and they are still not available. F'ing lazy! What is the excuse for not getting them to market, the speaker is made tested and proven, the housing is injection molded plastic, the mounts are already done. They will get around to releasing them in January next year.

I'm going to start with swapping out the JL tower speakers for a pair of REV410's powered by an SD6, and then we will see if the rest JL stuff stays or not. These idiots at JL came out with an 8" sub WTF! we need bigger subs not smaller ones. And they don't make an amp with more than 200w per ch unless you want to use all sub amps.

You looking to sell one of those JL amps? :)

Not everyone has room for 10" and 12" subs. I would think that 8" subs could do quite well on the boat market.

I agree with this. My Fountain along with all the others is very limited on cockpit space and a 8" is a heck of a lot easier to find a place for than a 10 12 or bigger. I'm not huge into the marine side of electronics (or any for that matter lol) but I do know in the automotive setting a JL 8 or 10 will outperform other brands 12" or bigger and sound better while doing it.

So to answer my question, nobody here is a Wet Sounds dealer.

If you're on Facebook. . . . check Legend Marine Audio
