way to run seafoam 454 (385 MAG)???

Is there a way to run seafoam in a boat engine? I dont think there are any vacume lines to pull the seafoam in. Is there another way to do it?

Crossett 05-02-2014 02:24 PM

Fuel injected? There has to be a vacuum line on the intake.

Z06 FAN 05-02-2014 02:31 PM

yes its fuel injected, I didn't see any vacuum lines on the intake.

I dunno man, mine's carbed so I can't tell ya for sure. It's just hard for me to imagine that there's not a single thing in there run off vacuum.

I can't tell you exactly where it is but there is vacume on the 454 mags. At least there is on mine. You will notice a vacume line running of the fuel pump and control. They are T'd and go to the side of the intake. Just follow it.

on that model you can get a 1/16'' piece of vaccume hose,,take one of the red tiny straws from a brake clean can and shove it inside of the hose and then wire tie it to the hose..now you can squeezr that hose between the flame arrestor fins...take the other end of the hose and stick it into the can,you will need to raise the can above the throttle body and you need to tilt the can a little to start the gravity feeding in the straw,,also put the throttle @ 1200 rpms,,it may need to go higher as it sucke the fluid in..sometimes its a b itch to get it togravity feed but it works..

Why not just dump it into the fuel tank????

abmotorman 05-02-2014 10:17 PM

Not sure the map sensor will be happy seeing any liquid. If your looking for high concentration why not pour it in your water separator?

I thought of the water seperator, but was un sure.
