Exactly. The boat Ernesto was on could have used a rope to pull them free. Just tragic. My heartfelt condolences to the family. God Bless.

The captain of that boat should lose his rights to operate a boat! Why in Gods name would you have the boat running, in gear and worst of all, throttled up when there are people behind it?!! So irresponsible! Besides, when you're aground, your really don't want to be running the boat and spinning the props at all! That's a recipe for sucking in sand and trashing props! Either push or pull it out without power. So tragic and unnecessary if this guy had some boating education!!

I didn't know the guy but that fact to see that unwind in front of you and know that it's someone from your area sadness the heck out of me. Unfortantley it's fault on both sides. On Dj Laz for being a dumb ass and rev up his motors to SHOW OFF with a huge rooster tail and allowing people to stand behind his boat. As we know that is NOT the correct way to get out from being stuck. All you are doing is getting more stuck especially at that sandbar that it's hard sand & the kids fault for not being smart about standing along the side and behind a boat under power. There is a Law firm on it already. Very but very sad. Our hearts are with the family.

Very sorry you had to witness something like that. I am sure, even though you weren't involved, it still takes an emotional toll...... Hopefully, emotionally, you are able to recover quickly.....

Very sad and unnecessary. Condolences to the family.

Oh boy. This is a terrible tragedy, no doubt about it. But the news has already tied "Pitbull" to the incident. As, the news report states, the boat was used as a promotional boat to promote Pitbulls brand of Vodka. Want to bet lawyers are already blowing up this families phone (seeing dollar signs.....).

I find no one guilty but the dude pushing. Unless he got run over. Darwin strikes again.

Reading between the lines he worked for a protection company. My bet is he was there as security for Pitbull or at the companies behest. Possibly ordered to help. No idea but seems logical.
