I am building a new 572 , dart block , scat crank and all the rest .
Does any one know of a good cam ? My builder is suggesting the merc 525 cam
I am running dry setup , shell i go bigger than that as cam?

Call bob madera at marine kinetics and be done with it.
Custom ground cams specific to each application with excellent results.

Merc 525 cam is to mild for a 572.

The 525 cam will be like a tow truck cam in a 572.

It's your engine, but it should be your builders recipe. If it does not preform as promised then he has some explaining. If your builder is up in the air over the cam or open to suggestions have him talk with Bob. It won't hurt.
I don't know your relationship with your builder.

That's not a 525EFI cam. The 525EFI cam has more intake duration.

Nobody can suggest a ''good cam" , just from you telling us its a 572 with a scat crank. Need info like cylinder head make and model, compression ratio, HP goal, max RPM desired, etc.

Hp goal is 650 , bottom is dart , scat, scat rods JE .comp 8:5
Holley 1050 dominator and stock rectangular heads with big valves .

Gonna be kinda tough with those heads and 8.5:1.
