Need photos of electric fuel pump mounting - Thanks!
 

I have a 1998 35 fountain. I am converting from mechanical to electric fuel pumps (holley blue). If anyone can post some photos of how there electric pumps are mounted in the bilge it would be great help.

I have mine mounted on the forward bulkhead in the engine compartment. PM me your email and I will send a pic.

I run a return style fuel log with a built in bypass regulator back to tank, holley black and oil pressure safety switch. ( kills pump when there is no oil pressure) In order to prime pump I have an override switch in the engine compartment to prime carb after layup.

Electric pumps don't last very long in deadhead setups IMO

Edit, you will need at least a holley black for the motors in your profile

The mechanical fuel pump was a Mr Gasket 7732....discontinued. The holly replacement dimensions are too big and it bumps against the sea pump. I can't find a rebuild kit for the 7732 either. So electric seems to be the new....but I bought the holly blue...the specs looked that same flow (130GPH @9psi) as the original pump.

Fuel pump wants to be as low as possible but above the top of the tank (to prevent siphoning in the event of a pump failure) holley offers a marine electric pump with a vent tube

it has ports for a mech gauge, mine also has a low fuel pressure switch tied into the alarm system and a sender for a gauge on the dash

That Mr gasket Pump was probably an Edelbrock or etc 6 valve pump (most look the same) with a tube pressed into the 'bleed hole'.

I'm going off of memory, and since I'm old as dirt, my memory goes back a few eons. It almost seems like yesterday I was battling Dinosaurs for food.

I'll try to find something more current.

6 valve pumps where very good and dependable. Would be a shame to switch over to electric.
