Marine engine shop dragging ass over insurnace repair.... I need advice!

Can he legally charge you for the work he has done if he never finishes? Legally you own the boat and unless you signed a mechanics lien agreement, I don't know if he can legally keep your boat if you request it back...

Pay the man and get the boat. File a small claim against him after...you may not have leg to stand on but he may not contest it either. There is no law about shops dragging their feet. Plenty of other shops would want your business.

first thing you do is go look in that engine compartment and see if engine is even torn down. he says was down to short block. u go and see heads still on and you are sure he is defrauding you.

How did this turn out? I was considering having D.S.M.... Do some work for me. I am sure we are talking about the same place cause I called this morning and they said guy who runs the shop will be in at noon.
