I'll stick with my V bottom, that thing looks like a transformer.

onesickpantera 06-03-2014 10:50 PM

That is very impressive. Suspension on a boat, who woulda thought? And the 4play looked like it would be a riot!

tomtbone1993 06-03-2014 11:00 PM

That is bad azz

tommymonza 06-04-2014 12:33 AM

new ideas in the Marine Field ? Who would of thunk?

shepnic74 06-04-2014 05:41 AM

Don't think that thing would handle big numbers in the speed department rollover waiting to happen

pstorti 06-04-2014 06:22 AM

cool idea, seems like the outboards are getting quite a bit of water over them, seems like it rides great.

s022mag 06-04-2014 12:35 PM

Can you imagine your cars suspension if you drove thru water or even salt water everyday? No thanks. I'd it's to rough stay on the dock.

rfgonzo 06-04-2014 12:42 PM

On the second boat, how would you even dock it with those long spider legs on the sides?

That's probably why snowmobiles don't have any suspension. :party-smiley-004:

Straddle the dock. :)

Gladhe8er 06-04-2014 07:01 PM

4 play definitely has ATV/snowmobile roots. I want one!

Relaxing 06-04-2014 07:24 PM

Wouldn't mine going for a ride on either one.

Tinkerer 06-04-2014 07:37 PM

Modern snowmobiles DO have suspension. On the track and the skis.
Looks like it could stuff in bigger waves. That and being top heavy it might do a serious nose dive and toss you out the front.

You missed my obvious sarcasm! :)

Captain YARRR 06-04-2014 11:08 PM

Great....more stuff to go wrong on a boat

zz28zz 06-04-2014 11:24 PM

No thanks. That thing is just plain goofy..

I know nothing about snow mobiles, but I'm gonna guess your standard snow mobile isn't going to cost anywhere near what that boat cost.

It looks cool and it also looks like the design works.

But when I look at it I see cleaning times tripled at the very least. :eekdrop:

bulletbob 06-05-2014 09:57 AM

Hopefully some of the techno will transfer over or help design engineers improve boat design. Thats thinking outside of the box for sure.
Unfortunately I couldn't afford half of it. Lol.

s022mag 06-05-2014 10:20 AM

I could see it been popular on a larger scale for passenger comfort, but that's why ferries are so big... Mass transit and harder to move those boats around.

I can see it in racing first. After all, "Active Suspension" started in auto racing and was so effective, they outlawed it. Same with traction control, now it's required on all new cars. Imagine something not so huge working on a cat that can react faster than either of the crew to catch things before they go really bad. This might allow the crew to get much closer to the edge and therefore faster. Or just a boat that keeps the optimal attitude and flying just on the edge...

hogie roll 06-05-2014 12:07 PM

Looks cool. But how expensive is it? Probably more than a 47 apache :D
