I get it "Trick" meaning Trick Marine and Fred Cecil....but for someone who is really interested in a 39' this is a great deal, go to the link I have below read it, then if you want a good 39' Sutphen hit up Bob (the owner if intertested).

Fred Cecil aka "Too Old", I never got along with him since day one of OSO, but to each his own.

link for the info on the 39' Sutphen in the picture, http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/s...et-39-a-5.html

It was just a joke, I also think the price is Too much, but it does appear to be a very nice boat, as I'm sure Fred put a lot of other peoples hard earned money into it.

Chris 06-05-2014 02:28 PM

Smarty, that boat is sold!

That is good for Bob, that is a nice 39'. Thanks for the update.

Coincidentally, I was just glancing at the join date of the people who responded in thread, alot of oldtimers of OSO (been on OSO for a number of years) in a small thread....

I wonder how Fred's old Sutphen made it up to Detroit? Been a while since I followed the story of "Too Old's Used Boat Mart"....

Lee 06-05-2014 04:39 PM

I see all the "old timers" are rolling in now..... :D The Sutphen ended up at the old Powerquest factory a couple of years ago.

dockrocker 06-05-2014 05:30 PM

Always thought that was a neat boat, but definitely a small market for it.

Craney 06-05-2014 05:31 PM

I forgot about Fred has anybody heard anything about him, is he still above ground?

benjen 06-05-2014 06:04 PM

Seems to me there was a lot of talk about that hull being run pretty hard and in tough shape. Not sure what tough shape meant. Does anyone know more about it?

ChrisK 06-05-2014 07:40 PM

Have not heard freds name in a long time... I also wonder if he is still walking around. He screwed a lot of people over, and some I wouldn't want to cross...

Exactly, those pictures are about 5 years old and are from the old power quest factory. I looked at it when they had their half ass auction
