Why did you pull them out, timed refresh, high egt, piece of mind? Did company #1 quote you a price before taking them out? What was changed/replaced during the overhaul?

Good to hear you got it taken care of, that could have been really bad if they proceeded to rebuild then called you!!!

I took them out just for piece of mind...

Company 1 talked loose numbers to start, but it was hundreds of thousands less than where we ended up with no guarantee of no further escalation before delivery.

Turbine Motorsports replaced or overhauled EVERYTHING in the engines all new seals and bearings... everything was overhauled by an FAA approved shop.

Any difference setting up a turbine for marine vs. aviation?

Turbine motorsports is a sister company to PPS, at least thats the way i understand it.

Core customer is heavy lift helicopters, aviation, etc.

Ive been screwed in the marine business but the comma in my screwing was 1 place to the left! Holy crap gald the end results are good Tom and the turbines look so dang cool.

Now that they are gone thru, what's required to maintain them and upkeep? What's the "shelf life" of a turbine in a pleasure boat?
