No Ski Day on the Ohio this year.
 

For those that boat on the southern part of the Ohio. I just read in the paper that ski day on the ohio for this year will not happen. The gentleman that puts it on has not had time to plan due to medical matters.

For those that don't know. It is a beach bash put on around Evansville, IN. The coast guard calls it "largest beach bash on a river in the U.S." It draws as many as 1000 watercraft (boats, pwc, canoes, etc) and as many as 6000 people.

This sucks, I was looking forward to going to my 1st one.

Have you been to the river around Cincy area on Sunday Labor Day weekend? I guess there is a party on the river with fireworks. I have never been there during this time, but I plan on it this year. I have heard it is a great time. Get there early because they close the river down at a certain time.

Glad you posted about ski-day, I have not had time lately to keep up on the news. Sorry to hear this, it is a popular party with a lot of people and fun. I guess we dont get to see all the women pulling ther tops down this year!:mad: :mad: Are you going to the river this weekend? I am going to go Sunday probably because they are saying 50% chance of rain Saturday. Last Sunday I didnt go because of the forcast, and it never did anything here so I gotta get out there this weekend. Mabe I will see you or MAMA TRIED out there?

I won't be out on the river this weekend. Cousins are working so they won't be going out. Which means I am boatless.

Cutwater,

I will not be down at the lake either. I will be however next weekend. I am sure Mama can tell you what is going on. Just show up at Buds beach. There is always a party there.

Never have boated at Cincy. I hear the Buffet concert is good to go to on the river. My cousins went a couple of years ago and said it was a blast. I would definitely like to do that sometime.

NO SKI DAY!!! Well wife will be happy to here. I'm going to go out this weekend anyway. Cutwater Buds Beach go to smith bay and turn hard right very good sand,look for boats.
