Nice looking and sounding boat!
I have had my share of Duh moments for sure throughout the years. Maybe more than the guy in the video lol.

imo, the captain was just letting the engines warm up, I dont think he was dazed and confused / hungover. And the camerman was probably just excited when the captain asked for his help in pushing him off the dock that he too forgot about the rear line. You know how gawkers get, he was just excited to be helping this bada** Apache out.

oh my lord I almost fell outta bed laughing, if you actually watch it and see the look of confusion when he realizes it's still attached, has got to be the funniest thing ever.

***ahhhh sigh*** made my day

I'm guessing (hoping) the guy is not the owner but maybe a marina worker or even sadly a repo guy. The cover only half off suggests the boat is headed for a trailer or lift. A marina that offers launch and retrieve service could be unfamilar with how the boat is tied up and/or don't really care and not payying attention. I asked my (former!) marina to get my 27' from the racks and put it on the trailer for me. They put it on the trailer for me alright...that had four flat tires!!!

I will agree with everyone including myself has done something a lot dumber that that. He could have wrecked his boat or the dock but did not.

Forgetting about the drain plug as the boat fills up with water - then trying to take off wondering WTF then it hits you. I have done that twice in my life and both times I felt so stupid so there is worse things that many boaters have done.

How about the stupid azz that pulls in or ouf from the dock that slams into your boat because he is clueless or drunk, IMO that 4 sure is 1000 time worst than this.

On the other side of the coin - he is a boater and most likely was able to afford a nice boat like that in which 80% of people up here wished they had his boat, including me. I give the guy credit for having such a nice boat and it sounds really good also. Some one is maintaining it pretty well to have engines sounding like that so I will throw out another credit on top of the first one. The dude has a very nice boat is really what I see. I would take that boat in a heartbeat.

perfect example of just because you can afford it doesn't mean you know how to drive it

ive got one up on the drain plug. boat sits on lift. so occasionally ill spray bilge cleaner and take out plug then drop lift enough so it fills bilge then raise the lift let bilge drain and reinstall plug. drive is in water so u can run boat during. i decide to warm up the boat so i crank it.

you open the valves and let air out to drop the lift. i get boat to where plug is barely under and i close valves so lift will stay there...

keep in mind you also open valves and flip fan switch to raise lift back up. heres this big block rumbling... i open valves and flip switch...

going to hop on lift as it raises and kill motor... after 30 or so seconds i realize the fan isnt working and i didnt realize because of the motor roaring.boat is sinking. so i shut valves. no power on dock!!!! no fan. lol.

boat got low enough it scared me but not low enough to affect anything.

lol if someone would have been recording me that day i would have dunked em.
