31 Bullet vs 32 Active Thunder vs 33 Powerplay

Which would you prefer?

tomcei 06-26-2014 09:37 AM

I prefer the lines on the PP... zero experience in any. would like to hear from others on handling .

bulletbob 06-26-2014 09:39 AM

I have only been in the Bullet and PP. I would take the PP because I hual ass and like the 7 foot beam. The Bullet is a Cadallic in the rough as I was in one last weekend.PP is in the 90s with 572s the Cig is slower with higher hp in it's 572s.

Sydwayz 06-26-2014 09:41 AM

The cheapest one with the biggest, reliable horsepower with the lowest hours. Nice selection, and you can't go wrong with any of them.

sleev-les 06-26-2014 09:53 AM

I love the 8'6" beam on the bullet. A little heavy, but awesome boat.

I was unaware they're that skinny

eightsecmopar 06-26-2014 09:58 AM

Hands down the Bullet.....it has the special seat in the cabin! :D

baja27 06-26-2014 10:58 AM

Beam on the PP is 8' same as a cig

Drock78 06-26-2014 12:23 PM

I thought the cig and AT were 8'6"

AJ POWERPLAY 06-26-2014 12:32 PM

Powerplay beam is 8', my list is powerplay, AT and finally Cig... You're just not going to get the speed out of the Bullet and I know I know- its a cig and there isn't going to be much difference in ride. The AT has a larger cabin than the powerplay so that's something to consider but wasn't enough to affect my purchase. I had these three on my list when I was looking.

Is it 8' or 8' 6". It sure looks skinny (the PP) next to the Cig but never put a tape measure on it.

hogie roll 06-26-2014 12:46 PM

Pp

Nate5.0 06-26-2014 01:06 PM

I would go PP > AT> CIG

Really a coin toss almost with the PP vs At I think. Would come down to what I want on the boat for comforts.

The PP is 8'. Unlike many of the bigger cigs (which are also 8'), I think the bullet might be much closer to 8' 4" to 8' 6". The Bullet is a much deeper and heavier boat that the PP, that's for sure.

sleev-les 06-26-2014 01:23 PM

Bullet beam is 8'6".... I love mine.. Glad I bought it.. Will admit it needs some bigger power, but thats only money :)

caseyh 06-26-2014 02:30 PM

Tuff choice that was my same list. Ended up with the cig. It's 8'6" beam. The others are newer than the cig if that counts for anything

I set out to get a PP but none in my price range most nice ones were 70+ but now on the flip side I'll have close or more then that in the cig after the redo, but it will be all brand new.

34 phantom, 35 lightning, 35 ZR (at that time one with HO's was in range), 35 cig, 353/382 fastech, 300/34/38 PQ

JUPITER PULSARE 06-26-2014 03:09 PM

AT all the way. Much deeper cockpit. Long running surface, great in the rough, muscle boat look with long deck and big cabin! Great ride!!!

modvp 06-26-2014 03:59 PM

Powerplay

SkaterMike82 06-26-2014 04:23 PM

Power Play hands down. Timeless line that doesn't get old and amazing performer. AT following

Indy 06-26-2014 05:39 PM

Never been on an AT (on the water at least) or Bullet, but my PP was as solid a performing boat as I've been on. No rattles, no surprises, seemed very well balanced and rode great in the slop. I also think the lines are timeless. To be honest, if my wife and I went out on the boat and the Sound wasn't grumpy, we were sort of bored and disappointed. It was just perfectly at home in the slop.

TBAG 06-26-2014 05:58 PM

I'll have to agree with the majority, PP > AT> Cig. Even though it's an "almighty Cigarette graced by the hands of God himself." I much rather prefer the lines of the PP or AT more than the Bullet. Now if you threw a TS Top Gun in the mix then my view would surely change.

Beam is 9'3" on the 33zx

rlj676 06-26-2014 06:41 PM

33 pp is an awesome ride. Haven't been in the others.

state1310 06-26-2014 07:13 PM

AT - cig -pp ...... the 32 At is a huge boat

paintman 06-26-2014 08:29 PM

Completely off the rails but last year at the 1000 island poker run I saw a 38 Pq and a 38 Zx donzi, I thought the Pq is big but dayum that Zx is massive...I can just imagine what the 33zx is like

Nice pp with 500s listed on here

kreed 06-27-2014 06:17 AM

Ive seen all of the boats for sale, and the PP is the most expensive, then the AT, followed by the Bullet. So I guess budget would definitely play a part in this purchase. Id like to have any one of them. Ive had a Bullet in the past, and it was a GREAT boat.

Gladhe8er 06-27-2014 09:09 AM

I've been on a 33 PP and it rides just like a bigger version of my boat, so I assume the 32 AT and 33 PP are very close. One thing I like better about the AT's is the freeboard...definitely has more than the PP. I'd take either!

E Colby 06-27-2014 11:26 AM

How about the Hustler 32?

How fast is a pp with the 500s . The one listed here looks to be nice.

Drock78 06-28-2014 06:51 AM

I'm going to guess around 80 as Adams runs 85 with 525's

How fast is a 32AT with comparable power?

Very close and depends on which 32 AT. Most 32's run 80-82mph with stock 500's.
Beam on a 32 is 8'4.

Can't go wrong with any of the choices. The Bullet will be slower with comparable power ad would probably take about 600hp a side to break 80.
