He is the 4th boat in. This is from last years Chili feed.

That's a better deal than I got on my boat. Not to mention a whaler can't sink

I was going to say that the formula 400ss had 525 or hp 500 in them. But is set up like a cruiser and still did around 45-50+ . May not be a race boat but if you have a cabin you ain't got a race boat either. I kinda like that thunder

That's got to be a misprint?. One too many zeros (maybe two). Good luck if he gets a buyer!

Would this thing even get on plane with twin 500hp and how long would the Bravo last. The boat is HUGE, not sure what its doing in Minnesota no body of water around here for it.

you'd be surprised how well those BT's run with mild power.

No.......he really wants almost 50k!

A few years ago at the Lauderdale boat show there was a vendor selling over restored Boston Whalers but even then they were expensive (but 15k cheaper than this guy). They pulled the deck, redid the foam etc. The problem is that you can easily find mint 15 year old 17 Whalers for 10-14k and they are essentially the same boat (17 hull changed in 2003, first time major redesign). So even adding a new 4 stroke/trailer you still would be 1/2 of this guys price and have a lot newer boat!

I admit to not knowing the U.S. boat market like you guys do but that has really blown me away.
I think I'll sell my gold mines and oil fields and invest in used Boston Whalers. They're becoming classics like old Cigs and Donzis or maybe even Riva's....!

Don't dump your gold just yet......that guy still needs to find a buyer that will pay almost double what you can buy a brand new 17 Whaler for at any boat show in the USA! :D

It's kind of one of those oddities in nature where you just can't get taste and money to intersect, but I'd still take it! :cool-smiley-011:

am i the only one completely annoyed at guys that call Flat Decks top guns? . . . . The FD's were fantastic in their own rights and are part of the TG lineage . . . . but they are NOT TOP GUNS! lol . . . . i just dont see any reason to overshadow the flat decks . . . . they are what they are and are great boats

92nsx 06-09-2015 02:23 PM

Youtube, UFO St. Croix . He has a couple videos. One he is trying to jump another boats wake. The kid isnt the smartest. I believe when it left MTI it did 175 but dad put smaller props on it.

Not sure, but that is a nice looking cabin door in the back. Ad says "any reasonable offer". Dude is probably going to have to pay someone to haul it off for him.

donzi matt 06-10-2015 08:55 PM

My reasonable offer would be you give me $500 dollars and I will light it on fire in your driveway. The end.

Here is another one of him doing 150 on the river. I belive speed limit is like 55 on all body of water in MN. Now I'm not one to follow the speed limit but 150 might be pushing your luck.

Nope, no speed limit on the St. Croix River other than the no wake zones.

turbom700 06-11-2015 02:56 PM

Well hammer down then, must be only lakes. Got popped on Tonka yrs ago on a jet ski doing 62. He let me off with a warning.:)

Can't help but to notice he's always alone.

BTW

What does that have to do with craigslist? Is it listed there:)

Tonka is one of the only lakes with a speed limit of 40 during the day, 15 or 20 at night. Then the same for the Mississippi River north of the Sauk Rapids dam/ old paper mill dam for 9.9 miles (this speed limit I found out the hard way.)

Other wise there are no speed limits for boats unless it is a pretty small lake but they also have a 10 hp max limit. Some one didnt take the boating safety class........ :)

Yeah, I know, it's a typo.... You can't touch a decent unmounted wench for $25....
I just wonder how ugly she is since the OP put a picture of a winch in the ad.
