Not all that bad of a deal, but I don't think it's a Scarab. 30ft. didn't have port windows nor the tall bow rail. The keel is a little too squared off as well. Maybe a Nova? ( Seat back had Nova stitched in it)

It says nova on the back of the front seats

It's a Scarab 300 with the 3 port windows and tall bow rail. The late 70's had them.

But he said this in the ad:

" The front seats were for a Scarab Nova, and I purchased them new at the Wellcraft booth at the Dania Marine Flea Market."

Learn something new everyday!!! That's what I like about this site, somebody knows something about anything! I had seen the 300s and just thought they were Novas!

I had one of those Pinto's also ,, the same color, sold it to a friends father who worked for Ford building Pintos and he fixed it up like new, way back in the mid 70s

I was a mechanic at a Ford dealer when they made Pintos and remember doing all the recalls to install a plastic shield behind the gas tank so they would be less likely to explode when rear- ended.

Not sure what to think about this. I like the idea of outboard conversion but they went a little too fish-y with this thing. With the huge foredeck/cabin it's got to be a pretty poor choice for any real fishing?

That tower is just terrible, the more I stare at it the more I hate it.

Doc,
The name of the boat seems appropriate!
