I don't only want to know who his engine builder is but what he is drinking or smoking. He should lay off whatever it is. Is the water in the Maryland water way special? "friends and family = 100 mph"

No steps,
No external steering.
385 hp to go 100 mph?
Maybe is has some of that Peruvian Gold that Crocket was always talking about, stashed at the helm to help you see the 100 mph

rak rua 09-25-2016 07:30 PM

Could be one of those ignorant Aussies using metric kilometers and doesn't realize miles are not the same. ;)
100km/h might be possible on a downhill lake with a tailwind.

I emailed the broker, It was POP yachts selling this thing. Said that the engines were rebuilt and making 385 HP. Questioned the 100 mph claim and said he would look into that.

Bad Ass TA WS6 09-26-2016 07:39 AM

Has POP yachts ever listed a boat worth half of the asking price?

The broker claims that the boat runs 84. Is that even possible with 385 hp and no steps?

This Magnum is the highly sought after Seahorse tail special edition model. Hence the " Caution Wild Horses" on the transom. Read people Read

Ive think I remember seeing that boat for sale on CL before. Your right a TON of custom work put into the whole thing. The guy definitely has something different. The thing I don't like is how small the front window is on the boat canopy. It would be very hard to see sitting in that think, I think you head would be hitting to top just to see over the bow.

CDShack 10-10-2016 12:11 PM

Visibility isn't as bad as you think. Once the original bolster is installed, your bending over so far you can look right out!!!

He took the year off of it. I believe it's an early 80'start boat. He also got it stuck on the approach to the dam one evening this year.

Is it just me or is the Magnum not a pretty good find?

Yeah. It needs to be freed of the hatches and exhaust. Ideally a different color, but it's a good desirable boat.

$35,000?!?! Surely $3500 is the number for that hacked up pair! I would want Sydwayz to approve that 5th wheel custom hitch before it makes the highway journey home.

Truck is a 1980 with 1994 parts and an extended frame/suicide door conversion, better let Sydwayz look at the welds on that frame work too! Boat doesn't run, needs interior reinstalled?

I'm telling you guys there is a reality TV show right here in this thread! Get industry experts (Reggie!), customizers like Chip Foose, a couple of engineers (maybe a Coast Guard engineer) then a host like Adam Carrolla (Catch a Contractor) all head out in the style of "American Pickers" and start viewing all of this crap. Then offer what the stuff is really worth! We may need "Dawg" the Bounty Hunter for security when these low offers are made!
