http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/general-boating-discussion/317385-boats-might-sale-while.html 140ish for no trailer, power or drives? Cant you get into a turn key Tiger in that range?

Its listed for $13,900 not $139,000. Its natural to add an extra zero when looking at a Cig ad... :cool-smiley-011:

Here is some ebay GOLD. While not a bad looking boat, the guy selling it is out of his mind. If NADA on this boat is currently $72k, everyone on OSO with a Stinger had better be selling theirs ASAP...

Look at the love lounge though.

Too Stroked 09-04-2014 06:57 PM

This one's got everything. It's a cat, has high performance Mercury power, bucket seats, drink holders, and more. Why buy a Skater, MTI, Mystic, etc. when you can have this for a fraction of the cost? Please don't all call this guy at once and drive the price out of reach.

Tows it with an Altima, I bet thats a cute lookin rig.

Brandonb_05 09-04-2014 09:57 PM

It would double the value if it was a yeti cooler on that thing. But a yeti might be to heavy for that thing to float haha

I am guessing this genius used the "suggested retail" value. What he obviously doesn't realize, that was the suggested retail value of the boat when it was new back in 1986..... I'd venture to say, unless it perfect condition with a survey stating there isn't a wet spot on the boat (even though his ad states the floor is soft, which probably means more of it is soft) the truck is probably worth more than the boat......

I know. I kinda like it. Somebody else posted it earlier in the thread. Those 260s might get it on plane.... When should we start rigging it?!

I don't think its the best looking deck but does look in good shape.

So you guys think a asking price of 13K is to much for a 42 Cig hull?

Will that boat be worth 120k when it's done? I would say it's 50% high.

Brandonb_05 09-05-2014 11:16 AM

I've been watching it for three days on craigslist the price when I first seen it was 15,900. You might want to ask for more pictures because some of the pics have time stamps from 2007. One of the pics has gauges and then one of pics doesn't have gauges. I live two hours away from the boat I was thinking about going to kick some tires this weekend. Haha

scarab63 09-05-2014 12:01 PM

How is r.i. 2 hours from n.c ? ^^^^ f-14 jet?

I think that rev might be oso member " weld cranes" boat.
Not totally sure though.

13 seems good if it's as pictured.

I'll find it later. There's a Sanger cat on c.l. boston. Been on for years. Total junk. Peat moss growing on hatch in pic. Big old v8 o.b. not run in years for like 13g.

Think it's been on c.l. 3 maybe 4 years

Ok, not CL but this is a hot eBay tow vehicle for taking any of these CL finds home!
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chevrolet-Si...US_Cars_Trucks

The description is tough to follow:
Ad starts 1973 Silverado
Motor is a 1976 400 ci rebuilt in '91
Interior is original to the 87 cab
The truck is titled as an 1981 Chevy Silverado and the title matches the cab. It is not a salvage title! WTF does that mean?

Brandonb_05 09-05-2014 05:03 PM

It would match a fountain with the Stars and Stripes :flag:

I've seen an Ohio vehicle title, and they were neither red and white candy striped, nor burgundy crushed velour, so I don't know how the title matches.....

Yeah, but how's an 81 VIN match an 87 cab with original interior? Either the owner just forgot, or I need an algebra lesson to guide me through this. Lets see... If a 73 frame leaves the factory in 1981, how long does it take with a 76 motor to catch up to an 87 cab? ......

1000 islander 09-06-2014 09:07 AM

Does this guy also own an 89 Fountain that he thinks is a special one off 99 model?

I took it as one of those math questions you got in the 8th grade........2 trains are heading to Cleveland, one has 41 cars and two locomotives and travels at 33 mph, the other has 19 cars and one locomotive. Johnny is meeting his friend Paul at the train station and the trains arrive 27 minutes apart. What time does Johnny need to call the cab company so he can get to the station on time since Paul is leaving the airport in 45 minutes?

It's downright terrible that I can only like this comment once. Funniest thing I've read all day. Anybody that uses that sunpad better have a Nomex suit.
