I’d be scared of that home made step. I like to stay in my boat when turning.

Now where is your sense of adventure?? And is it the rum or does nothing down the center of that boat look straight?? |
Looks to have a bit of starboard side droop to the deck what'ca think???

I gotta agree with RMH, it looks like play-doh. The strakes look a bit funny, the paint- no comment, the back seat is for 2 year olds (hang on kids, we're about to turn) and if I'm not mistaken, he has a bung at the rear of the step (pic below) but no bung at the transom...? (Unless there's a notch I can't see) Also, looks like a very shallow dead rise. (pic below)
Nope, I'll keep saving for a proven brand name boat.:) https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...bb73a0fbdd.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...dba8e16f18.jpg |

Everybody started out by building boats that weren’t perfect, I respect the guy for actually building one
|
Reminds me of the single O/Bs they race in Europe and similar to our spec class over here.
|
So this might be a contender vs the Scarab to win the race to the Bahamas!
https://miami.craigslist.org/mdc/boa...039230621.htmlRestored Fountain 40 with trailer. Has only been in fresh water so far. Ran on the Great Lakes during tests. GPS said 88mph. Has twin 550hp Chevrolet 454s with DART heads. I have $35k into the motors alone. Set up for a Lowrance 3D Scan 9" screen Nav system (head not included) V birth, cocktail bar, head, two leatherette sofas. LED lighting New white seats (need a little cleaning) Very low hours. I’m selling my house in Summerland Key and would like it to find a good home. |
Here's a gem from Australia.
Riviera Australia built the Diavolo 44, which is the earlier Aussie version of the Wellcraft Excalibur 45 (built by Riviera). Beautiful boats, not very fast but big beam and well appointed. $15,000 = 10K USD approx. Some of the pics attached in case the link disappears. https://www.boatsonline.com.au/boats...by-5000/237597 https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...cb836435f.jpeg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...2919d3d7f.jpeg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...5b0fe04ea.jpeg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...47e88f14d.jpeg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...c6477acf1.jpeg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...d30deb1da.jpeg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...8204e04aa.jpeg |
^ Betting that this is full of corona Virus and then some. Probably bird flue as well. Wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a pig in there somewhere so swine flue as well. Mad cow disease maybe?
|
The Diavolo's had a couple of cockpit variations but all were big and open. Here's what a nice one looks like, without the budgie....

While in Fla I had a boat sold pending inspection by his mechanic and satisfactory sea trial.
Buyer from West Palm shows up w/gorgeous girlfriend in a bikini and a mechanic friend who knew nothing of Motors/boats??? We lived right by the Intracoastal in Vero Beach so put in there. Was my 24’ Sonic so hotty In passenger seat/bolster, me driving and buyer and “mechanic” both behind me. All I could Think was mechanic cracks me in head, buyer takes wheel, throw me over side, they drop mechanic to get their vehicle and my trailer while buyer/hotty head down the IC for West Palm. I don’t scare easy but did have my 40 cal in the cuddy. Should have been on my side. Ended well w/buyer paying me w/a shoe box of cash. Welcome to S Fla 😉

That double Bolster would be killer in an old Center Console.
|
Looks good for its age
|
Was thinking the same thing.
Ive got an old 20’ Whaler, bare hull, that I’m thinking outside the box on for seating and that is one of the ideas.

i think it has one big belt running both drives.....wonder how hard it is to change a belt if it was to break while on the water? LOL

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1994-Wellcr...8AAOSwSWZekodT Ok, pair of braves + a torque cummins and they are linked by a belt? What could go wrong? If you launch the boat airborne, would the throttle back be quick enough to slow the belt then when the boat hits the water again what will break first the belt or the bravos? |
I’ve seen similar.
I think. I think one of the guys at Power Boat magazine used one motor to run two jet pumps back in the day??
