The beginning of the end is all the rod holders mounted to the transom. In my world, once it morphs into a fische Bote, it’s done. https://cleveland.craigslist.org/boa...738907736.html $3500 Its got some sad mods, fishing chairs, rod holders that appear to be made from old chainlink fence posts with mailbox stick on numbers on them was an odd idea. I really think there would be a chance of a reality tv show of trying to buy this junk. Act like you are going to do an awesome resto mod and start talking blower motors, Dean Loucks paint and considering how rare these are to find now you hope to get 200K for the finished product. Of course show up in a 6 door F650. Of course offer the guy $500 and he can keep the trailer. Then send it through a shredder while laughing........... |

This is a lot of boat for 5K. Perfect for someone that has a running one but wet transom or hull damage. |
Cabin is upside down...likely why it's so cheap! :D

There was one.
Very short lived. All smaller boats and the guys buying and redoing them had no clue! Pretty clear that they had no idea how difficult and expensive a resto was to do and that that didn’t make it worth 3 times retail! Nobody woke up at that point and Joe then parted it out. Hope it finds a good caretaker. The issue is that most Scarab buyers of these 38' models want a flatdeck. Few folks like the 377. I find it practical and stylish in its own way. Cheers, Lars. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...6e91b39fba.jpg |

If ya got a couple of 502 short blocks laying around, this would be a nice find. Just add ext steering.

Well, he’s within $50k of what it’s worth.
Is interesting though. I was expecting and empty cabin and HUGE bow hatches when I saw the ad 😎 https://miami.craigslist.org/brw/boa...750193752.html |
Crap!
Didnt load the the first post until I did this one. Saw this ad and expected an empty cabin with a giant bow hatch or three :-) interesting piece, too bad he’s $50K off on realistic value. https://miami.craigslist.org/brw/boa...750193752.html |
Better than most of the Miami junk, love the caulking around the trim tabs! Nice job,.
The other pet peave I have about OB conversions is they go easy and never move the bulkhead back to take advantage of the added room. If you are going to do it, do it!.

Thats the old Larry Smith Scarab that was built with outboards from the beginning it had triple V8 Evinrude's.
|
Did Prince Albert of Monaco buy this or did it stay State-side? Saw this 1985 photo of a 46' triple outboard, a while back, in Jared Powell's article interviewing Larry Smith.

https://longisland.craigslist.org/bo...761469423.html don't grasp how much money it takes to build the best, but then nobody of the ones in the knowing complains or wishes things where any different, except when exceptional boats get neglected or destroyed by the ignorant ones with more money than brains. |
Another classic.
Not sure I’ve seen a 21’ w/twins?? https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...4565825&type=3 |

I'm curious about “boat and motor”, does that include the mahogany seat? :) RR |

Cool old ride that Chris Craft but the ad has to be a scam I think. Boat still has US registration #s

That Chris Craft would be pretty awesome and the Mullet Mobile to boot! It would be a great combo!

That’s a cool lookin’ boat! Love the big outboard boats, I’m really wishing my 24x7 was rigged with an outboard.
