Baja 40 outlaw project

Just thought I would share a pretty cool thread from BBO - not sure how to link YouTube vids but if you go to (baja 40 outlaw project) on YouTube it will blow you away, never thought a hull this damaged could be repaired. There are a few vids on the rebuild and the guys garage is incredible, never seen anything like it ! ENJOY!

Sorry if this has been brought up already ......

Wow!!!

HOLY CRAP. Watch the first video of the guy dropping the 40' hull into his BASEMENT. That was a feat in itself.

And he has forklift on tracks. How badass is that?!?!

Y
Yes- Thanks - Cool vids for those who haven't seen them !

The stuff they have and do in the Netherlands is incredible !!

TooLateVTEC 07-07-2014 02:35 PM

Thats some awesome work for sure, damn.

Wonder what happend that caused the damage ? That thing was pretty messed up.

Rwbrew3 07-07-2014 02:47 PM

I believe the boat was moored to a steel structure and was hit by a much larger vessel of some sort !

nkosi 07-07-2014 02:52 PM

That's a labor of love right there. Good stuff.

ealesh33 07-07-2014 03:13 PM

Talk about alot of labor hours wow, what a job those guys did.

Wondering what the integrity of the hull will be like after repairs are completed, I think I would still be concerned with the hull staying together the whole time driving it!

jeff32 07-07-2014 07:38 PM

should not be a problem if fixed right!

There was definitely a lot of work in that project but I would feel better doing the work/supervising that type of repair my self than paying for a patch job......

Remember there was a 38 TS TG that took a shot similar to that from a runaway raceboat Donzi.........boat was fixed at Cig factory and sold a few times without an issue.

By looking at there set up ( at there home ) I would guess they do know what they are doing - huge undertaking to say the least. I would think a bare hull would have been a cheaper route after labor and material but i know nothing about fiber glass or hull repar!

Would love to have there ultimate man cave - that boat fit like it was made for it!

god damn thats cool!
