After that S happened to my boat, I wouldve held my hand out to him and said "Will that be cash or credit card?"

I don't mind helping people tie up, and let the driver do the work and hold the rope until hes done.

Unless I can tell he/she couldnt park a tricycle in a bus lot, im out.

Quote: I pull up to a restaurant dock and try to tie off when I get a few guys asking the usual 100 question (thats is getting real old btw(no it doesn`t have a 454) and one fella unties my rope and tries to pull me back so my bumper is even with the pole.. well the boat is still tied in the rear and it hits the a metal beam .How do you not kill a guy like this??

Never Let anyone help! UNLESS It's a chick handing you a rope or bumper. Have you not learned anything! Your boat has to park next to the dock with no help . Period! Tell him yeah it has a 454 . If you were in Cali . I would fix it for ya

I think everyone prefers to dock and handle the bumbers/lines themselves but, unfortunately there is going to be situations where you wish you had help. A few places i like to go to have a good current and the late afternnoon wind is always blowing. I dont care how good you're, when the nose of 40' get the wind and you're backing it between a dock and boat, good luck without help. Thats why i like to have atleast a couple good helpers with me.

No matter what any damage SUCKS that wasnt caused by you!

Beating the guys azz would only cause Dan more friggin problems. The guy would prolly end up owning a nice red flat deck....not to mention the bloody mess on the boat!...... BUT, might have felt good to call him a flippin moron in front of everyone! LOL

Man, makes ME wanna cry!

It's hard went you come to the docks, alot of "drunk" people wanna help..........but............and you don't want to look that sterotypical Ahole fast boater either.............so generally when you're in that "what do I do" decision process, bad things happen!
Sorry about the boat dude, at lease it's just the corner and not the whole side!

Joe. Stop it short of the dock. Leave it running and proceede to the part of the boat that will touch the dock first. Then all of a sudden your Hot woman will spring into action and say. "Heres a bumper and a rope my love. If you need anything else i will be downstairs in thd lounge *
