Missing the Point...
 

I had an awesome time at Boyne Thunder this year, but one thing stuck out that was a little irritating... a certain 50 Hustler owner complaining that he would not be back next year because it was bullchit that he could not get his boat on the main docks and when you have a boat of that caliber they should make room for it. Apparently when you have a 50 Hustler you dont have to wait up at 8 a.m. like that rest of us to try and get a spot. And apparently the kids at Camp Quality dont deserve the entry fee if you can't have a spot at the main docks. These runs are an awesome time and we all like to party, but complaining about the runs after all the hard work by the volunteers and the city is truly classless. And running your boat and getting all the attention from the crowd at the pier isn't what the runs are about. I can say I love the lines of a 50 Hustler, but won't be missing that one next year at the run. Don't let the knob hit you in the...

I hate the entitlement some people feel. It kinda sucks for the little guy that's just happy to be there and see a tool like that crying that no one made him feel special. It's not good enough that the helicopters take 40 pics of your big a$$ flashy boat and none of anything I've ever owned? (Sorry pet peeve of mine. The same boats get a million pics every run every weekend but a guy like me is lucky to get one)

Does Tony from Michigan still own the boat ? If so 3 years ago in Miami we were on his (wild trips) boat plus he was demo some of the other Hustler Powerboats that we went out on as well. He was really nice to us and seemed super cool as we all got along for the whole day. Maybe a different guy owns the Wild trips boat now. Just saying not to get in the middle of this. If it was Tony at the BR man that does not sound like his actions.

Im sorry the guy isn't happy. I have known the guys that put the run on for years now and I know they work very hard to put on a top notch event. The run was opened up to 100 boats this year and even at that some people had to be turned away.

As for the little guy, I have to say I was treated well by everyone and no different than anyone else. Even got a pic from the helicopter.

Photography was great this year, everyone got nice pics and multiple angles! Videography was just as good! Great event this year

That boat has had a magazine write up (performance Boat) and is used in checkmate/hustler ads. This boat/owner deserves to be treated like royalty. I find it unacceptable to hear he was treated like everyone else. To suggest a boat/owner of this caliber should put his ego aside for a charity is Absolutely apauling! :party-smiley-004:
