Corpus Christi and the Bikini Contest
6:30 p.m.: Bikini Competition Finals
8 p.m.: Shoot-Out!! Racers Village Closes to Public The above is an extraction from the Schedule of events as noted on the APBA news page. Pray tell, why is the Racers Village closed to public? Better yet what is it?? Is closing it the result of the Post Bikini contest celebration??? Just curious marc :p :p :p :confused: |
The racer's villiage is the Dry Pits in Corpus. It is a fenced in area along the sea wall several blocks from the hotels. They close the Dry Pits in order to keep the racer's equipment safe for the evening while all the parting is closer to the hotels.
Wish I were there, I have gone the past two years and enjoyed every bit of it. |

To BK;
Thank you very much for the info. I am driving down early for the Sunday race. I am pulling for Tommy Bahama. Looks like they had early season problems. Jim Vonwolske, Austin, Tx. |
