Props should be spinning inwards . Opposite of what you have there

That's spinning out which will lift the stern. Shouldn't lose any speed in that configuration.

Won't that pull the stern down?

Yes which lifts the bow. Stepped fountains , well actually pretty much all fountains, don't need stern lift. My 38 fever ran flat and slow with props turning out.

Gotcha. Ok, not to highjack but I'm spinning out and carry my bow but it takes a good deal of trim. Do you think I'd gain anything by spinning in if it required less trim to carry the bow? 303 Formula.

I'm trying to picture this in my mind without much luck. So I need to just switch props around? Wouldn't I then switch forward and reverse?

Yes you need to switch the cables on your throttle to the reverse directions now. You can how ever switch the props, and pull the shifters into reverse to actually go forward, for a test now though.

Is it a bad idea to run the drives in the opposite direction as they are usually run? By switching he cables I will be shifting into what is now reverse...but with props switched it will actually be forward.

It's a matter of opinion. Some people are 100% against doing this. Others on this board I have read from will tell you since it's a bravo it's perfectly fine for a test.

My personal experience with the drives when they are built proper, I have 550HP for reference and over 300 hours on mine now, is you will be ok. My drives were mounted on a Chris Craft with the engine package I have now, and were run hard. When I put them on my Regal I put them on to keep the drive showers to the outside of the boat/drives again. I went from what was an outside rotation to an inside prop rotation doing exactly what you are looking at now. I now have another 50 hours on the drives and have been fine to date with regular oil changes.

It's your call, if it bothers you, pull the drives and swap them after you swap the cables.

As someone else asked, what's the story on this boat? Was it running when you bought it? What power, what drives, how fast? Did you do anything to the boat besides the motors? How sure are you that they actually produce 750 HP? All things equal, any other 38 small stepped Fever could run the speed you are getting with less than 550 HP per engine. Turning the props in might help it pick up a couple of MPH. Going to 5 bladed props might also help it 2 - 3 mph, but you should be close to 100 with 750 HP per side.
