Looks like an incredible project, Rik. The propulsion package is most definitely the right call for that boat.

Also it appears they did an amazing job redesigning the helm station seating from that of their original 42-footer.

Sorry to hear you had to go to France. Awful warm this time of year. :)

Matt, the interior is beautiful. They are far ahead in styling than the American boats are. Boat has a lot of quality components in it and the boat certainly looks sexy in the water.

South of France is perfect this time of year. In the 80's with only a slight humidity. Perfect views and blue oceans.

Well, I was kind of teasing you on the France thing.

And I agree. While I haven't been on the 44, the 42 was well built and engineered, and super stylish. (And you have to love the single remote control for the roof, rear window and engine hatch.)

One of the other things that makes this boat compelling for the European market are the usage patterns of boat owners there. They will actually take vacations and stay in their cabins, whereas the cabins of most go-fast boats in this country are used as big storage lockers and little else. It's not better or worse, it's just different.
