I know there are two differnt Avanti builders one in NJ and then on in florida, I think the builder of the center console are the ones in Florida. I know you will et lots of mixed revies on the ones built in NJ

Thanks boom.
Yes it's a fl mfg avanti.

I've tried tht also. There's not shat for info out there on em

pslonaker 07-30-2014 10:16 PM

florida ones were built buy a guy named Raul Rodriguez. But I think he is out of the biz. when he built a boat it was made to workboat standards. It was built like a tank

scarab63 07-31-2014 01:06 PM

Ya thanks. That's all i can really find for info on the www.

There's not much info on em which sucks

Dave M 07-31-2014 01:14 PM

Ok so for anyone looking in the future here's what I've got.

I reached out to jo Nunez he says they are a dammed splash of a cigarette. Most were built well and fairly heavy. They run nice.

What he said. They run really good in rough water but slow. If you are looking at one with twin 225's its going to be real slow. With twin 300's vrods they run like 53 more or less. Most 33's have triples on it. They have been around for a while since the early 90's but have changed hands many many times. They are popular here in Miami. Every one that lives in Hialeah has one being pulled by an H2.

The 33 you rode on in miami with the 300's, were both motors running?????? I will post a gps pic tomorrow afternoon.

Yup...wasn't pass mid 50's. If you have lab props high x, low fuel, crew and equipment than that's different. None the less great rough water machines
If I'm not mistaken, they are based off the old 36 Cig. They also have a wide beam.

scarab63 07-31-2014 06:28 PM

Thanks guys.
I've been told with some etec 225s this boat cruises 50 tops 63, 64.
I guess I'll find out.

Basically if I get a 50 mph cruise in something that can take a little slop and it's turn key 365 days a yr I'd be content.

for a couple weeks.......haha

Then I'd start saving for some vrod 350s ;)

My friend has a 2008 with twin 275 and best I've seen is 56 with the arch open.

Hey thanks scarab63... I actually bought a 99 two weeks ago and just trying get some details on them.. The previous owner didn't know a whole lot about the boat... Nice guy just a gas and go guy..although he did pay for someone to do the basics..

scarab63 09-09-2015 07:39 AM

What are you looking for as far as info? I did a little research when I was looking to buy. Built in s Florida, quality was hit or miss..... I reached out to pepe Nunez of pantera when I was looking. I forget the nickname he had for the owner. Said overall good boats. Quality was up or down depending on the crew that was building it at any given time. Bare bones , no frills cc built for hauling loads quickly ;)

Looked thru old email pepe said it's a dammed splash off a cigarette. 24° deadrise, 9' beam and called the owner "booty"

creeper 09-09-2015 07:50 AM

I like the... No frills, built for hauling thing... It really does ride like a tank I must say!..I was looking for exact capacity fuel, water. Haul weight. Any other info plus or minus. History of.. It's a cool boat ..don't plan on getting rid of it anytime soon..

think most are 250 gallons but I was also told some came with 350 gallon tanks for long crossings.

that's all I've got. Good luck.

More info, edit on post 25 ^
