Cabin lighting.....

Most Sonic's I see from 2002 on have the panels made by innotech with a nice led puck style light. For some reason mine came with the old limo style lights that are dated and ugly. I ordered one of each of the lights below as samples so I can test them and make panels that will fit them. My question is with hooking up the lights. I'm no electrician. Can I just hook them up or because they are LED do I need to change stuff like wires, voltage, fuses etc, etc ? And second which style do you like best, puck or the last one on my list that is adjustable but more modern looking ?

Now you have me looking for a pic of my lights lol.

I know mine are flush up front the ones near the fridge though I actually don't think I have anything at all, not even the limo lights. I do have blue neon there though behind the seats facing up on the wall.

I have the neon throughout also. Limo lights everywhere though...... My cabin looks great except those lights. I'm tired of looking at them..... Talked to the guys at innotech and they said to make a template of what I need. Just have decide on which lights to use. I'm leaning towards the puck style like Sonic used....

I think I like link #3 the best, I like not seeing the LED bulbs better, IMO.

As long as you don't "need" to shine the light in a specific area like you sort of can with what you have now, I think some nice looking filler plates and the flush mounted lights would look really nice and modern. As well we brighter with less power.

Awesome looking cabin, BTW

Check the rv suppliers for led lights..

I'm running the flush 9 led ones where you can see the LED's in my cabin and they have plenty of light. Mine are all down facing though so you dont see them.

That is 4 of them in that area.

ok, I've decided on the puck style LED.... They definatly look better and look like they will add more light. Now does anyone have an answer to the 2nd part of my question about actually wiring them in ? Do I just hook up the wires or does something else need to be done because I'm switching to led from an old style light ?

Straight swap, power and ground and done and they dont heat up like traditional bulbs and use way less energy.

They are usually polarity sensitive...
