Need a boat moved, VA to FL
Getting closer to putting deal together on a "new to me" boat. Now I need to find someone to move it from Richmond, VA to Fort Walton Beach, FL. I got one quote at about $3.35 per mile (about $3100), seems kind of high but I'm not sure. It's a Formula 330SS, 10'2" beam, doesn't have a trailer. What is a good ball park number I can expect to pay?
Thanks, Aaron |
Give Jason at Full Throttle Transport 678-283-1292.
He delivered my trailer from Manning to Fl and then the boat and trailer from FL to Va. for a fair and reasonable rate and was very flexible with my ever changing transport dates. |
If your flexible, ask Commonwealth if they can bring it down. I know they buy/repo boats out of FL, maybe next trip they can send yours down on an empty trailer.

Doug Parks @ BBS Services Hauled my Schiada from Los Angeles to MI & I wouldn't hesitate to use him again.
951 312 7150 He's based out west but gets east once in a while. You might give him a call, if he's in your area you might get a deal if he's running empty. You can also find him a the RDP site he's got a thread in the forum called "where's Doug" I can't remember exactly what he charged me but I don't think it was any more from LA to MI than you're being quoted from VA to FL so he might be cheaper anyway Good Luck |

Aaron, did you get my PM? Gary
|
Gary, i got your PM and I have been talking to your guy and a few people... Seems like $2500 - $3200, more than I really expected to but I guess it is what it is...
|
Might be more because you're over the width limit (thinking out loud).
