2014 Shootout racers..Bio's please :-)

Good Afternoon!

Shootout is quickly approaching and I am again working with KRMS/Chater on the radio/TV broadcast. If you plan in running I am asking that you send me a brief bio on you , your crew and equipment.

I will do my best to get the information out on the air! Please PM me or e-mail to [email protected].

I don’t keep them year to year so if you have done it in the past please send me a new one. Doesn’t have to be real long, just where you boat, how many years at the shootout, any class championships, other hobbies..pretty much whatever.

Thanks and see you in a couple of weeks.

Mike Alford

I hear there's a guy from Oklahome that may be making a run at the title

Bump to the top for more Bio info. 16 days until the fun begins!

PS my inbox is now empty, sorry if someone tried to PM.

Bump to the top for anyone else that is plans on running! 11 days to go!

Bump for anyone's information. If you don't send it to me I encourage you to put a bio on your registration form for the event. Usually we get something like..

Motors, twin 502's... which can be anything. I understand maybe not wanting someone to know what's under the hatch but you can say instead, twin carson brummett, turbo 540's or some discription, it gives us a chance to recongize your engine builder. Tell us where you like to boat, who your crew is, what props you run, heck say hi to you friends and family! We don't care, from the time you are in the run up area to the time you shut down is a couple of minutes, that doesn't sound like much time but can be an eternity when you are trying to find something to say about the person.

Good luck to all, see you a week from today!

What Charter cable channel is the TV broadcast going to be on this year?

Any online streaming for those of us that can't even get close to being there?

Here's my guess. Not sure if this would be the only way to watch, though. Someone else will likely chime in.

See you in a week.
Von Bongo, I think the problem with putting bio on your registration form for the event has to be due to the fact that the form will only take very little information. I had to trim mine down to about a 4th of what I could have included. If you have any input on how Cpt.Ron's programmers setup the form, please recommend that it should be extended to at least twice it's size for text input for the BIO.

Will be on the local Fox Affiliate from noon to 3 each day. No full coverage on Charter other than that. Stream will be wall to wall and Co-Mo customers will be able to get it wall to wall too.

Thanks VB, it figures I signed up for Co-Mo but it's not installed yet. Other than off season rates I really hate Charter. In addition to seeing it live it's great to record and watch it back over the cold winter months.
