Simply it's about finance money.

If I was smart: 327 Intrepid Cuddy- about 225-250K new w/twin 300's.

The point of this is: Even with a gift of free money (500K) people still aren't buying new performance boats.........

.............and disposable income.

The economy is still in the crapper. There are many Americans that are unemployed or under employed. Just making enough money to survive is a chore these days. The price to live a modest life increases daily and wages are frozen most everywhere. The days of a disposable income sizable enough to support a $500K gas guzzling toy are pretty much gone unless you are independently wealthy or living off a huge trust fund. Of course there are other ways to support the hobbies of a rich man, but the term legal system comes to mind when I ponder the alternatives to gainful employment.

Couldn't agree more, full time job and a smallish farm and now it's become a struggle to make it year in and out!

I can see that in the marketplace but in this hypothetical situation there must be an underlying issue if not one person picked a new performance boat.

Money already financed, maybe. ?..the economy has eaten chit for far too long. If your not careful, you're done!

Nope.....they are busy actually designing what they want in their new boat.

Meaning? CCs are the future? I just picked up my new Vette when I could have bought a Yukon. True performance owners aren't in to it for the dock recognition. They like performance. On the backside I did buy a brand new Malibu Wakesetter so the boy could do his thing. Would it be my weekend ride? Not.

Pat, you should have bought a ZL-1 or Z/28 for performance, with the Nurburgring and all... Then you would have performance, room for a couple sets of golf clubs, and room for another couple when dinnertime came. When I see a ZL-1 or Z/28, I stop and gawk (rarity factor), when I see a new Stingray I think "whoa, old guy with a big car payment".
The hopped up Camaros offer performance with a little more functionality than the 2 seater Vette....
Wait, that's mildly analogous of a "true" performance boat vs. a performance center console. My bad! As you were.
