Drambuie On Ice in Lake St. Clair
This may be old news as I have been away from the computer for a week. Last Tuesday while at Sun Up Marina on the Salt River, I hear something serious heading out to Anchor Bay. I looked up and it was Drambuie on Ice, followed by about a 40' Fountain with maybe 4-5 guys in it. Drambuie went out in the bay, and made what looked like a couple of hot passes, then came back in followed by the Fountain. I suspect it was a photo shoot, or working with the guys at Sterling Performance or maybe a potential sponsor deal. Does anyone know anything about this?

Drambuie was doing some testing , must have had Sterling doing some tuning.
From what I heard they launched from North Bay ? because the could use their hoist. The Fountain (I believe) was Art Summers.
Mike Fiore was also doing some testing with his 42' GTX that has twin 1200 Sterlings. I guess he ran 134 that day.
This is all second hand info so it could be wrong

Outer37,
I was told he was on his way to 1000 Is. , Sterling is only about 35 minutes from here. I also heard 145 ....man that is hauling ass !!
One question though ... if it goes that fast why not dethrone Reggie's fastest V-hull record ?

Drambuie was testing before going to the race last weekend.
Sterling was tuning the motors.(132mph) fresh water not bad.
The 42 Outerlimits ran 137mph What a ride
The Fountain was Art Sommers also DickCarlson from Ford marine
Divison had he's 42 Fountain out there.
