Default Newbie to forum, looking to idenfy boat for possible purchase.....

Hi Guys, love the site, so many great looking boats!!

Could I ask a favour.....

Looking at buying this for some fun as a project. Guys says it's a Scarab but Scarab owners forum says its not one, so any ideas what it is?

There seems a wealth of knowledge on here so any feedback about the item would also be welcome.

Thanks
Paul

that is definitely not a ScarabIII of any vintage . . . .

HIN is the hull identification number. should be on the transom. Since you are over seas i am not sure if it still applies. I dont believe it is a copy of a 34 either. The ScarabIII had a feature line down the side and no lip as that one has about ten inches below the rub rail. Wish i could help but I'm stumped on that one, never seen a deck like that on anything

Seats say TopGun . . . . must be a Cigarette

yeah i got nothin Whatever it is i doubt it is much newer then 85. What year does owner claim? She sure is a project but looks to be all there, thats a lot of work. Frome the pics it looks shorter then 34.

edit: I'm gonna revise my guess to late eighties based on the one piece trim tab rams (those came out around then) but the build style/quality looks earlier

That was my thought, especially with the walk around on the deck.
