I raced against him and Bob Russell in Key West in 1999. Never really met or talked to him, but respected his skill and loved his boats. My sincerest condolences go out to his family and all at OL. Roger Ausley F2-15

Terrible news. My sincere condolences to his family, friends and the entire Outerlimits company staff. May they one day find solace in that he lived life to the full, did what he loved passionately and passed this world doing what he loved. He will not soon be forgotten.
Godspeed!

It's been a great ride Michael and you will be missed.
You have raised the bar in the industry on how to build boats stronger and effectively while still keeping all of the comforts onboard.
God Bless you , your family and friends at this time.
Here is a video of my last ride with Michael....
To be able to hold a camera by hand this still at 120 + goes to show just how smooth the 44 SL Outerlimits is.
Thank you for the memories Mike !

I've pondered all night the words I wanted to post. I can't possibly express the sympathy I feel for his family, both personal and professional.
God Speed Mr. Fiore, You deserve to be held in the high regard shown here by your peers.
RIP.

So sad to see, and not at all what I was expecting to read when I logged on earlier this morning.
Like many others here I never had the privilege of meeting Mike face to face but his character and integrity spoke for itself.. My thoughts & prayers are with the entire family, friends, and employee's at Outerlimits.. I guess one thought that keeps coming to my mind is just the simple fact that I like many others can be sitting here a long long ways from Rhode Island grieving over a loss like this really shows not only the tight knit community around here, but the sheer impact he had not only as an innovator but a true leader in the sport we all love so much.. Those are two traits that don't always go hand & hand, however those were two traits that he obviously possessed and utilized very well.. I'm smart enough to know that it takes an entire team to rise to the top and he sure didn't do it alone, nor did it happen overnight, but man what an impact his work made in such a short life !! He undoubtedly continued to push the envelope to be better & better with each new creation that came through their factory, therefore having a big hand in pushing the entire industry to be at their best, and for that I'm very grateful !!
May you rest in peace brother and may the Lord wrap his arms around your family as only he can,
Scott
