ft. meyeyers
Just found out we will be meeting up with friends at the end of September in ft Meyers, are there any good marinas near by to check out the boats, also whats a do not miss while we are there?

?..

Lani Kai on the beach is a good party. No where great you'll find a lot of boats like these. Random restaurants on te water or anchored out at the beach. Depends on how long your gonna be there and what you wanna do.
|
Basically just sunday through Saturday I think. Haven't been to fla in 20+ years, so if there is cool boat related things to see close by that would be great. Thanks

Google cabbage key.
Also, at marker 34 icw going north, plow the boat and the dolphins jump your wake. Lani Kai is good for beach side drankin, and mantanzas has a decent lunch come as u are and also has dolphin. Matlache has a couple of AMAZING fresh catch restaurants.....semi fine dining......without the monkey suit.... Cay a costa has some really nice beach able spots instead of swim ashore. Love r's key. I would say cabbage key is the don't miss. Once is enough, but I go as often as I can. Also, by car, blind pass. It's where Sanibel and Captiva meet. Highest density of shells in the world. |
And if your into guns.....
Fowler gun range....indoor....ac. Stay away from the Webb......outdoors and LOTS od range sweepers...... |

If you're on land and can get a DD, try the Yucatan, fun bar on Ft. Myers Beach or maybe The Fish House,.................................then if you want a killer breakfast sandwich, there's a little "hole in the wall" on Ft. Myers beach called Heavenly Biscuit, place doesn't look like much, but the cinnamon rolls and bacon egg and cheese biscuits are to die for, have fun. |
Thanks for the replys, were just regular joes from the desert and would like to see some cool areas and boats we would never see here. Thanks again guys.
Ken ps I'm all over the cinnamon rolls, there is a great place across the street from the place we stay in kihei |
I Don't think there is anything going on that weekend as far as boats.... The weekend of the 26-28... There are the clearwater boat races... But that is 2 hours north!!!
|
I'd just like to see some of the beautiful boats in person that I see on here, waaay out of my budget, but love to see them at any rate. I boat on small water so my little 24 is a large boat for the area. That said the boats I see on this site are just awe inspiring and id love to see some up close.

Give am a call tomorrow.......
I can arrange a tour at a location that will impress. It's not nortech, but its where Gold Rush lives....along with a few lavey craft (incomparable build quality) and the 7time world champ Harras Sutphen......as well as a quick trip around the corner to them. Rich is a great guy to meet in person....and oozes passion. Google Denny Hejja......we'll be seeing him...... Rich 2393495395 |
And by the way.....
That's every day.......the rain that is..... |
Will do , we're on ft Meyers beach, thanks man!

Small world, we ate at flippers tonight and im pretty sure it is next door to where we stayed by chance 20+ years ago on lovers key.
as far the rain yesterday Holy CHIT! |
The rain helps clean the bugs off. It was raining hard when I left Clearwater. We use Rain X windshield washer fluid in all our vehicles and never use the wipers until it stops raining. Just to clear the drops off that are left over.
