Calling all of you out. Retake boater safety course online for free https://elearning.boatus.org/catalog/?id=1

In preparation for getting the rest of my family to take a boater safety course I decided to retake one that I took more than twenty years ago. It was an eye opener. The material is much better and I learned a lot. Only scored a 91 due to a couple of questions where I would debate the language and a couple I just didn't know. Still it was well worth it.

How about it, more or less three hours. Split up as you like.

I did mine first in 1989. Then again in 1990. I was 9 and 10 at the time. Requirement by state to have to even drive the boat with dad on. Only did a second time for fun and refresher due to being young. Then didn't do one for a lot of years. 2009 I got my 100 ton masters license. 2011 I redid boaters course so I would be informed on floridas version to help step daughter through it. Now currently working on my 1600 ton master.

Can I skip the one? Lol

I'd say so. I never got past able seaman when I was working the oil patch back in the 80's

I signed up and got started. I think I'll wait and do it during hunting season in a deer stand.

Worked the LOOP project off Grand Isle in 1979/80 rough year for storms. Then spent 5 years in the Bay of Campeche, was right there when IXTOC blew up watched Red Adair play cards for 3 months. Also spent time working the North Sea, Middle East, Australia West Coast and misc other African and Asian projects
