What speed did the Corsa do before it started getting out of shape?

Not really sure I ran the boat with the owner at about 90 and that was enough for me. I think he did a lot more and realized that boat was too small for that kind of power.. He did not have a lot of experience running a small boat with big power.. I have seen some of Steve's videos and he has a brass set........ That motor has some power.........

Have nothing hosted. This is the only sight that I have ever seen do pics/vids this way.

Pit bull you are wright one with your no. There was a VR 1 built with a 800 or a 850 hp Express engine. It was one of the early ones. I drove the boat with Scott the old sales manager it ran 104 mph. I cant remember what pitch prop but it was a hydro 5 blade. The boat was in Jacksonville last I heard of it.

It takes a lot of prop to run over 100 mph. I have 34, 4 blades on my Phantom and it runs in the 90,s

Good luck.

Johnny,

That very boat was at our marina this past week for some minor work. Nice looking piece!

I use a 1.34 gear ratio and currently have a Hydromotive P5 28 pitch I got off ebay. 26-30 singles with big power need to use 1.34/1.36s gear ratios. 1.50 ratio cause the need for 30+" of pitch . The more pitch, the less stable a boat becomes. You want to cut the smallest amount of water possible to be productive. Planes better, handles better, more stable at high speed, decelerates better. turns better. There is absolutely nothing better about more pitch if you can run less. After 32" its more stress on the boat, driver and the gear case. Its basic physics. Going to try a few other props I have but do not think any will out do a P5 on my boat. I have about 10 props I will be listing for sale soon in the classifides. Hydromotives, Bravos 26-30s
