In the late 80's we ran the 32' Skater. However, Bernie could have had the 29' Sanger there as he had that boat at the same time period. He even bought the one that Bill Bennett owned also.

Howard built 4 of the Sanger boats. The one I got was built in 1987, red white and blue, it had Bud Light name on it, Bernie used it to carry Miss Budweiser around course before unlimited races, I changed it to Windship name with same colors, ran it for "16 years" at Lake Lanier, GA, never had the engine out, K-1 kerosene and turbine oil, 125 MPH every time out, added flamethrower out exhaust, shot 15 foot flame at idle, awesome at night. With the water alcohol injection, 1150 HP,Trolling motors to maneuver before starting turbine in forward. I asked Howard,"What do I do if I don't turn off the turbine in time to dock the boat", he said,"Aim for something you can afford!" True story. Best boat deal in history, thank you Howard. I miss running a turbine, but obviously love my boat now. Turbines in the future? Absolutely!!
