Places to visit between LA and OK City

Flying out with a friend to drive a vehicle back from LA on friday morning and am looking for fun easy places to hit. Havasu, somewhere we've never been, is sooo close I figure we have to stop and check out some boat shops or something.

So what you guys got?

He bought a party bus, so wherever we go needs to be large vehicle accessible.

Thanks!

Not much between LA and OKC. Havasu isn't too far out of the way and Vegas isn't too far either. Grand Canyon if you're into that. Not much on I-40 in Arizona, New Mexico, or Texas.

Follow Old Route 66. Perfect opportunity. There's an app that's good with showing the landmarks, too.

1400 miles and that's all? Not even a decent strip joint recommendation?

I have driven all these routes on motorcylces, and there are many great options

Consider deviating North from Las Vegas:
Nevada ( Vegas, St George,) ,,,,,, Then Southern Utah ( Bryce National Park, Moab, The Million Dollar Highway ),,,,,,,, Then the Marijuana Legal State of Colorado ( Aspen, Vail Breckeridge, Denver ) .....Then to East toward Oklahoma

Or Go North out of Utah and southern Wyoming,

The direct souther route around the South Rim of the Grand Caynon is an option,

Good Luck

Go to Vegas, and take the recommended north route, awesome scenery.
Some good stuff in Vegas too, lol!

Looks like we're going to Havasu tomorrow evening. Bar/hotel recommendations?
