Default 540cid Engine Upgrade Option

Here is a possible engine re-power option. What do you all think about it?

Check out the Power Boat Nation website and go to the below section.

great for your searay. Only spins 4600 rpm. Sure you could recam it and a bigger carb and really bring it to life, but there goes the Merc warrenty.

I agree. Would be good for (sport) cruiser's and thus if they build them well many, many hundreds of hrs before any top end rebuilds.

I'm really curious about it also. Could work well for my bowrider. I've requested pricing from a couple of places, should have it on Monday. Anyone know how strong the internals are? Good strong forged stuff like previous 454/502 Magnums?
