Do most people leave on sunday or monday? We are leaving Monday and was wondering what traffic is like getting out of the keys and key west or if it is bad at all?

T-minus 18 Days till Key west, Thank you to all that visit this thread, it wasnt designed to bombared you with pics, instead to showcase pics from previous years, and to get a little hype going as this is the final hurrah, for 2014 whether you going for the races, the poker run, or just to drink and have a good time. Hope you continue to follow this thread. When I leave for Key west, I will start a new Thread with updates daily, and I will be attempting to have some videos up as well. oh and have a few drinks.

Got tea bagged by the first shop. Drove down another 1000 mile round trip and took it to another shop. hopefully PMT fixes it this week. I'm all in if that happens. Plan on towing from lauderdale to key west.Only 5 hrs.

T-minus 16 Days to Key West, and its throwback thursday. back in 2010 Stihl and Amsoil slugged it out in Cat lite, with Amsoil coming out on top! Fast Forward to 2014, and it will be a cage match, only this will be real!

where is the best place to anchor to watch the action?

It really depends on water conditions, if it is rough over by sunset island but you need to be there early, if not to rough, outside of turn 2 is a good spot, it just all depends what is comfortable for you and your crew.
