If That beast is in the mid to upper 70's with all that weight and at the size I have to think that is a big win.

I wanna believe 70's late yesterday. Ultimately until 1 is completed & tested w/ the hardtop we won't know her capabilities for sure but it certainly has been positive to this point. I've been most impressed w/ the overall constant forward progress myself!

I am sure it will be plush, but....

It would be a killer sport boat with simple low deck and plain flat hard top. The lines are awesome.

Boat Ran Great - MYSTIC 3900

Boat ran great for first real sea trial. John Cosker/MYSTIC being the gifted engineer he is wanted to run the boat heavy to simulate 15 of your friends and 330 gallons of fuel on board. It is much easier to work backwards than guess forward. We were close to 17K pounds today with four men on boat and 330 gallons of fuel. This boat was powered with Quad 300 MERCURY Verado’s. Max RPM is 6200-6300. With the weight we were a hair off on engine height and prop pitch. With the added weight about 3K pounds more than finished product will be with normal crew (6-7) and fuel load (closer to 200) we still ran 71 at 5500 RPM. After we ran boat John wanted to check balance and CG before we adjusted amount of water in each of three 250 gallon test tanks. The boat is ROCK solid, I have never been in a CC that has such a quiet hull and we don’t even have deck on it yet. With the reverse chine the boat turns without excessive lean and holds its line which is great. We also pick up a diverted spray with the reverse chine. Visibility from helm level is great and not going to be a problem for people that are not real tall. The acceleration and mid range was incredible for a boat of this size. This is a BIG 39 with the 10’ 8” beam and 37-38” freeboard. With this beam we will also have a much larger cabin than most 39 CC’s. We will continue to test, improve and update but it was ALL THUMBS up to MYSTIC and new 3900 today.....
