Seeing as how we are talking about OFFSHORE Powerboats. Offshore Meaning, rough water, and needing a good handling boat. If you wanna go fast on the river in flat calm water go buy a Rayson Craft or something.

The newer models are comparable. But the Activator 27 has a small cockpit due to the 7' beam. I agree they are bad ass in the rough.

But they are a drivers boat that will be getting air much more than a 35+ footer with no amenities. Not everyone wants that.

That right there no matter how good in the rough is a deal killer for me.

Yes they are. I thought I'd hate a sit down but after spending a bunch of time in one that's what I want. I took my Donzi out last Saturday and there was a small craft advisory. It was nasty real nasty I was the only boat in the bay. I dropped the hammer and let her eat. Had my buddy with me... Bolster rubbed the skin off his back black and blue elbow from bracing himself. My knees and ankles felt like they were broke. The next day I could hardly walk. My next boat or maybe even this one will be a sit down with mitigator foam in the seats.

And just for the record... any stepped hulls are great for top end, forget it in chit. The steps won't actually function until all(most) the hull is out of the water. No need in chit waters. Actually worse due to the pivot points. Plus the boat referenced above (not the Avanti lol ) while ok. they will bounce around like a canoe. (well may be not the Bullet)

You might want to go back and edit your edits about actual length. I know for a fact that two of those mentioned in his reply are advertised length. One happens to be sitting in my driveway.

Have you personally measured each of the boats mentioned to prove your theory correct?

What the hell people??? No one has told the man that the only way to get a nice ride in rough water is to buy the ultimate wave crusher, the Chuck Norris of offshore boats, the holy grail of big water boating The 41 Apache!!!!!
