Or even the 30' for that matter. And by "purpose built" if you mean they were built for rough water, handling, and running for long periods of time then I would say that's a pretty good purpose. Seeing as how we are talking about OFFSHORE Powerboats. Offshore Meaning, rough water, and needing a good handling boat. If you wanna go fast on the river in flat calm water go buy a Rayson Craft or something.

And just for the record... any stepped hulls are great for top end, forget it in chit. The steps won't actually function until all(most) the hull is out of the water. No need in chit waters. Actually worse due to the pivot points. Plus the boat referenced above (not the Avanti lol ) while ok. they will bounce around like a canoe. (well may be not the Bullet)
