Rocky Aoki would be amazed...........
Saw the latest posting of DJ's and how they are making more money than any of the movie stats in Hollywood except one.
Steve Aoki, a son of Rocky made $23,000,000.00. last year .....yes THAT WAS JUST LAST YEAR ......as a DJ operating in dance clubs and casinos all over the world. He was not the top earner in that category. Another guy made over $60,000,000.00 last year and that was up from the previous year where he made $43,000,000.00. Obviously we need to get these guys to sponsor open ocean racing again. Yes, the overall prize for the 2015 Miami to Nassau race will be $5,000,000. Now that will bring some boats out of the woodwork. |
I was just telling my daughter that his dad was an offshore racer... She rolled her eyes. LOL
|
I retired as a Dance Club DJ back in the early 90s after a very successful(for the time) 15 year run....but obviously way too early for the big bucks.....GRRRRRRR!!!!
Very cool that Rocky's son is going so well, good for him! Cheers, Dave |
60 million.
Work everyday of the year = $168+K a night. That's a lot of fuking drinks to cover just the DJ .....Wholly Schit ~ And obviously no one works every single day. |
Keep in mind he makes money from Itunes etc selling his songs individually as well.

he is one of the kids that did not have major issues with his dad
the older ones especially really wanted to get their claws in dads cash and Steve and his one sister were from a later wife and both went their own way (probably because the older kids were already making a mess of things) Steve and his sister did just win a court case to get a part of their dads estate though, but it does not pay off until they are in their 40s |

Jeff So it is that simple, now Jeff, get those British guys to bring their boats over from Cowes and we will have the start of a fleet of open ocean racers again. |
