These are basic problems and solutions. You need a new mechanic and audio guy.

You are correct about getting better people to work on the boat, however, where I am located we have very few choices. I will be moving the boat to Pickwick in the coming weeks so i will have a greater pool to pick from. Can't wait

I think some pictures of your power cables to your amps could help us figure out this in a hurry.

Will do tomorrow. Don't know about alternator wires but will look. Have 2008 oem 496 ho.

In that case they should be remote voltage sensing, which should eliminate dimming. inspect the wiring at the back of each alternator for broken wires.
