Adding AC to 2004 Baja Outlaw
I am thinking about installing AC on my 2004 Baja Outlaw has any one installed an AC unit on a performance style boat? I would love to talk to someone who has. It would be really nice for sleeping on the boat.

It doesn't run continuously. and a lot of the time im using shore power at a slip. And I have 4 series 31 AGM batteries so I should be good there.

I had a whole thread with pics when I installed it on my 33 OL.. search my name maybe?
Edit: just noticed the link to a DC unit. As an HVAC guy Id say that be a waste of time and $$ unless you live in Alaska and don`t need too much cooling. If youre going to go thru the trouble AC is the way to go. 3500BTUs isn`t going cool much on a hot day |

OOPS!!!
I thought I saw ICUlooking as your screenname when I quickly replied. I may be wrong as I see your up there in Illinois near the OP. See ya Kelly |
I put in a 6K btu unit and it struggled, mostly ran so long it froze up. The 9K btu in my current boat, while it is a 38', is just right.
