STD or Hydro Hoist?

I'm amazed how a company like Hydro Hoist is in business. Not that it's a bad company or there is anything wrong with their product, I just don't see a market for their stuff used. So how do they sell it new? I decided I don't want to use a slip and will just be trailer trash. I don't want the expenses associated with slip taxes, association fees, etc. just for a handful of weekends spent on the boat. So, I have had one for sale and keep dropping the price with no success. I put it on Craigslist today for free and haven't heard a peep. Usually, free stuff goes fast.

I know my problem is that it's in the water now, and it requires a 45' slip minimum, or I could have sold it already. And, anyone not close by needs to figure out how to haul 45' toons to their location.

Why is it that trying to sell a used hydro hoist is like trying to sell a STD? And not the Ford kind :)

45'? What's it setup for?

Currently set up for 47' Fountain, which is a little too heavy of a boat for it. It can be change for a 37-38 boat, which is what it's prior use was. Possibly some twin powered 42's depending on weight. It's a 16k lb rated lift.

Damn it! How come this stuff never pops up when I need it. I assume you already sold / gave this away? Looking for a 16k or bigger lift...

Yep, wound up giving it way last Dec. The secondary market is obviously poor for them. The main issue is transporting them. Fortunately I found someone that was keeping it in the same marina, so that worked out. Had lots of people that wanted it, but they couldn't figure out how to haul it away with it being 45' long.

You can call Pier 1000 @ 269-927-4471 and see if they have any around. They used to have some in their lot just sitting there.

Pier 1000 has one that had a 47 Fountain on it rated at 20k. I believe he's asking $11k for it.
