What you guys don't understand is if you aren't running any real speed and land it heavy on the azz it is a 100 times softer than running at speed in confused chop. Can be a little hard on the swim platform but back in my day real offshore boats wouldn't even dream of ruining the transom with a place for you girlfriend to take a PEE |
The secret is to run parallel and tight on the backside of the crest of the inner wave up by the beach so when you do see your wave you have time to get the boat heading perpendicular to the wave and the break that you want and throttle up/
You do not want to go crazy with speed though and you really better know how to judge your wave. Regardless if you do it long enough you may be to late and have one break over you or it crest right when you hit .it. and you will be at a 90 praying to land before the boat goes beyond it. Its really stupid and dumb but if you have a boat that can take it it's no problem ,nothing against a Baja but that wouldn't be my 1st choice. for this stunt..Where you will get phucked that close to the beach is if you lose power . Game over and kiss your boat goodbye as it would be in the surf immediately and unless it got lucky and floated up onto the beach it would swamp in the shorebreak and be kindlin in a half hour. But hey all in the name of good FUN. |

Given that happened to the platform, I am, in all honesty, VERY surprised the Bennet tabs stayed on the boat!
