the guys at Mercury told us at sema that they designed the heads with boosted application in mind. They flow well over 400 before any massaging. After going to drag week this year and seeing that the majority of the cars were running twin turbo ls engines. They said they will be available late next year and complete kit will be $8000.00.

Don’t get too used to the snarling Coyote, though, because it may not be around for too long. The upcoming 2016 Mach 1 is rumored to have an all new V8 known as ‘Voodoo’. In the Mach 1, with the help of forced induction, this engine might put out as much as 650 horsepower.

Coming to a theatre near you..Sooner than you might think.

The article is confusing. Somebody explain to me how a 180 degree engine is a "V8". Isnt it a "Flat" 8 or a "Horizontally opposed" 8.

Am I the idiot or was the author who wrote it an idiot? I am confused... Nothing related to a "V" is flat and vice versa. I am sitting here scratching my head trying to figure out what the heck they are talking about.

Depending on how they designed the port shape they may not see much gain. Why??? The LS cylinder head with the cathedral port was designed with a maximum amount of "swirl" and "tumble" in it.... shhh its a secret...

Thats why you see twin turbo LSX eninges making 2000+ HP reliably.
